portapique
mass shooting

April 18/19, 2020
Portapique, Nova Scotia

On April 18, 2020 a Nova Scotian man began a 13 hour rampage from in Portapique, N.S. to Elmsdale, N.S. During this rampage he took 23 lives (including that of a pregnant woman). The gunman travelled in a self-made police cruiser, as well as being dressed in a police uniform. It is important to recognize that this man had never actually been on the force. Below you can find information on the mass casualty commission, the victims, and memorial information. Some of the information is graphic so please read at your own discretion.

I've also linked their support page, please reach out if you are in need of support.
